How to wash silk in a washing machine

Choose a low heat setting (30℃) and gentle cycle; Only wash silk items with similar colors to help avoid colour run.

Use a mild detergent(special silk detergent); Place extra delicate pillowcases inside a laundry bag to protect them whilst in the washing machine drum.

How to wash silk by hand

At first, fill a bowl with cold water. Add a little detergent and then place your silk items inside the bowl. Move the pillowcases around the bowl gently to help the cleaning process . Once cleaned, remove your items from the bucket and empty the water. Rinse each piece of clothing separately in cold water until all detergent residue is removed.

How to dry silk safely

Drying properly is just as important as washing when it comes to silks. Never wring your silk garments which may leave lasting creases and risks of breaking the fibers; Squeeze excess water out gently and then pat them dry with a clean towel. Hang the items away from direct sunlight or heat.

Note: The silk pillowcase may be wrinkled during long-term storage. It is recommended to use a steam iron or garment ironing machine to iron the silk at low heat before using it. (Multiple ironing is not recommended)
